Field recorder App for iPhone (that kills the fire one)

Post by Rave » Sat Mar 20, 2010 5:49 pm

Free version:
http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/hindenbu ... 71746?mt=8

This is Infinitely better

My bro owns both and he says the fire recorder stutters and plays up whilst this one is the business. It has a compressor and volume envelopes too as well as scrub and other features.

The free version has all the features i think but you can only record one minute of sound.

Enjoy :)

BTW if anyone knows of a line in / mic interface for the iphone then I would really appreciate it if you would let me know

Cheers

Interesting, I've never had any issues with FiRe, and like it a lot, but this does look really nice too. The new Blue Mikey Pro is what I'm waiting for, that's probably going to be your best bet for the iPhone.

See if you can find a belkin tunetalk stereo on ebay. Works perfectly on itouch 2g with fire, has stereo/mic in and both auto and manual rec level. Recorded audio is pretty good quality with very little noise even in quiet recordings. Got mine new old stock for under a tenner.
I will be buying the Blue Mikey pro when it's released though.
