Sure. I've got so I couldn't sleep for 3 days before.
Problem is, you need to stop and check yourself sometimes, otherwise things go to shit.
If you spent 16 hours straight working on a track, the last thing you should do is keep on without a break and spend another 4-5 hours mixing it. Pound to a penny it will sound like crap when you wake up in the morning.

+1 and yes, i had that as well, but it is good to force yourself to take breaks and gain a bit of a distance again.
you hardly can see the trees when you are permanently in the middle of the forest.

you want to be corrected on your english, right ?
because you got it arseways, it's actually the other way around
''you can't see the forest for the trees''
meaning you can't see the bigger picture when you're stuck on the finer details.
the way you say it translates to you can't see the finer details, by being so focused on the bigger picture. But maybe that's what you meant ?
