'WIP - house and techno' - soundcloud group

Hi everybody

a week or two ago i posted to announce the fact that i had set up a group called 'WIP - house and techno'

i ve had the time to upload a few sketches/segments up there so have a listen... also hopefully they should act as a very very rough guide as to the sort of thing that should be uploaded. i ve found that people dont read what the group is about, just read the word ' techno ' in the title and then send me there finished tracks, which is nt really what the group is about ....

so please if you have an idea that you started work on this weekend but did nt get time to finsish, or a piece that is nothing more than a cool synth with a kick drum behind it, send it to the group !

'As someone that makes electronic music in my spare time it's not always possible to get to the finished arrangement, often I spend a few hours on a track and don't get past Ableton's session view before I run out of time!

The idea of this group is to provide a home for work at this 'sketch' stage, where ideas can be exchanged, comments made.

Also loops could be downloaded and used in peoples live sets or Traktor set ups. Or for the stems/Ableton live sets to be exchanged so different ideas can be developed. But fundamentally the idea is to stop these sketches laying dormant on our hard drives and to get them out there! And for there to be a productive and creative exchange.

1. No mixes
2. No finished tracks
3. Music must be roughly speaking in the domain of techno/house(of the deeper and tech variety) ...

* I intend to moderate this group very strictly as I came across a similarly themed group that had been overwhelmed by average mixes and stuff that you can find in a million other groups up here on soundcloud, and I thought it was a real shame as something like this has the potential to aid the creative process.'
