Mmmm...entrancing. I used to make this kind of thing all the time way back in the Reason days....step sequencing definitely has a different feel than piano roll. :D

Is that a launchpad window that appears in live when you have one plugged in? or is that max for live or something?

it's a monome m4l app ...which can be used with a lp+monome emu(also an m4l app)
that one is inspired by the 'toneMatrix'/tenori-on..
and is made by this dude:
