Updating Live on Windows Machine

Whats the best way to do this, while retaining your library?

Uninstall old version, and then reinstall in the exact same location? - If we do this, we may have to backup unlock.cfg file i guess?

Whats the best way to do this, while retaining your library?

What exactly is the problem? In other words, what situation are you trying to avoid?

Installing a new version of Live or uninstalling an old one doesn't remove the library. So you can install the new version, try it out, be sure it works, and then uninstall the old one at your convenience.
