With all the 8.1.1 hoopla, what version of Ableton 8 is the most stable?

I think live 7 was a lot more stable
I dont think it will happen but i wish they would make two versions max for live version and non max for live version

Re: The most stable version of Ableton?
I had almost nil problems with 8.09 but am having the same joy with 8.1.3.
8.1.1 was a disaster.

Re: The most stable version of Ableton?
7 is stable enough on my system, and I tax the shit out of it.
I would love to upgrade, but it's looking like a version that's tough enough for my whacked out set up is still a little ways off.
I use Automap, plus Korg, RME, MOTU, Logitech drivers and hardware. I have a 7 port hub filled and use the other two USB ports as well. I run eSATA for hard drives, and a firewire audio card. 132 Audio Unit and 75 VST plug ins.

What are the most common causes of crashes in different revisions?
I'm on 8.1.1 and haven't had that many crashes - those that I have had have happened when I've tried to load a new patch/preset in a vst's during playback.

Version 8.1.1. wobbles around too much!
I take 8.0.5 for my Live Performens! I had no problems with this Version.

ive had crashes with just adjusting the loop brace or volume adjustments. there are some cool features in live 8 that i really like. But when stability affects my enjoyment then its back to live 7 i go.hakey wrote:What are the most common causes of crashes in different revisions?

I switch from 7 to 8 and vice versa for composing...
I'm stickied to 7 for playing on stage

Thats true. It was when they introduced midi in Live 4 that problems started.pepezabala wrote:Live 3 did never crash. Ever.Faldoe wrote:With all the 8.1.1 hoopla, what version of Ableton 8 is the most stable?
