Probably been shared before but check out Christopher Willits's series/podcast for XLR8TR called "What You Talkin' Bout Willits". He goes over all kinds of stuff, almost all of it Live related. He does a lot of live multitrack looping and sound design in Ableton as well as generative Max/MSP/Jitter/M4L audio and video. The 2nd link has a diagram of his setup, 3rd is the latest XLR8TR episode 14 where he talks about making weird sounds using Live's effects racks, 4th is a Youtube search. It's a fun series, and he just seems like an overall cool down to earth guy.
