Is there a forum police at work?

Post by Hypomixolydian » Wed Apr 07, 2010 9:17 pm

Seems like a thread I was reading earlier today but wanted to continue has gone, or I am too stupid to find it. Earlier today it was nearly at the top of page 1 and now it is no longer on the first 3 pages.

Basically the thread was quite a lot of criticism of Ableton's code of practice.

Can't find it. Pity because there were some interesting issues raised.

I hadn't. But never mind. My guess is the post was deleted. There was a battle of words going on between some forum members and an Ableton employee. I can't even say exactly what it was about anymore, but I do find it strange that the thread is not longer viewable.

No, ^ that is not the thread. In fact, that thread was never a thread.

Yes, it was that one. My apologies for jumping to the wrong conclusion. I feel silly now.

I can only explain by saying that earlier in the day I was reading it and about 6 hours later it was nowhere to be seen within the first three pages. Posts don't usually disappear that quickly or it was there, but somehow I failed to see it.

reading that thread it is very much NOT a war of words. It is a user getting things completely backwards. then some other stuff gets talked about.

That thread summarised succinctly here by Hidden Driveways

I went through the whole thing; don't like everything but some clips really crank me over ;-)

Like the dude calling pest control for a "giant rat", hilarious ;-)
