LAUNCHPAD usb problem !!!

LIVE 8.1.1 / Macbook Pro 2.4G / OS 10.6.3 /

LAUNCHPAD usb driver installed already / no AUTOMAP installed


it really bother me about my LAUNCHPAD only work with using the USB hub...

I also have BCR 2000 / AKAI LPK25, it works well when all controller connected to powered usb hub.

but sometimes I have to bring only LAUNCHPAD out, it didn't work when I connect to any of my usb port, can't see the device in audiomidi setup nither.

I have bring my usb hub only for 1 LAUNCHPAD, so stupid...


any help?

i'm not a mac user but are you sure the usb ports are giving enough power to your devices
So you got bothered because you have to bring your usb hub...

I second looking into that. Not trying to start a mac/pc thread but I've read multiple issues where the bluetooth and camera interfere with the amount of power the laptop can give to certain usb's. In the talks i've seen I thought there was usually one usb that was solid. Hope this helps, I know that can be frustrating cause I need 8 powered usb hubs in a laptop (i can dream).

Well by re reading myself, sorry if I was kind of pc vs mac...

I've read same as you Headrick, maybe by changing usb port and isolating the one which is providing enough power
