i'm pretty new in Live.
I need a suggestion about my last setting.
I work with loops (guitar, voice and other wierd instruments connected by a second mic). All the tracks are routted to one track where the looper is placed and midi mapped (FCB1010). Also reason has a rewire track routed to the looper track (piano, sinth, bass).
As the title of this topic say, i don't use any quantizacion because i want to be free, completly free, to improvise and invent song on the fly.
Evry time i press the rec or overdub pedal i want to be able to rec or overdub immediatly. not after 1 bar or half bar or...
so, no quantizacion in the global menu, no quantizacion in the looper. no click.
Everything goes fine.
the problem, of course, arrives when i wanna add a drum to the composicion.
i would need a instrument like IMPULSE, but able to reconize the lenght and the in-point of the looper.
of course i can't overdub a drum kick in the looper because than i will not able to change it, FX it, take it away....
can pls someone suggest mi an idea how to be able to add kicks, snares, hit on the fly, staying in sync with the courrent loop (of course, without global quantizacion)?
