hi all,
i'm preparing a mix set in ableton live 8.0.5 on my macbook pro with 4Gb memory and the 2.8GHZ Core 2 duo..
i have already warped various tracks into live (hi-q and pro warping), some of them looped at beatsections and so on. but every time a clip is launched, or whenever the loop is restarting, i hear a 'click'.. or it might be some hesitation, as if the computer has to think for a tiny millisecond of what it's going to play. this is really annoying.. especially when i'll be doing it live next saturday.
cpu is at about 20 to 25% percent constantly (don't know if that is normal or not). using my external soundcard makes no difference.
any clue on how to solve this?
thx in advance.
rool.
click sounds when launching or looping clips
Re: click sounds when launching or looping clips
Hi Rool!
I got the exact same issue as you. I'm on Live version 8.1.1. If I shop a recording into small peaces it clicks at the beginning and at the end of every clip. This will not effect the final export of a work, but in a Live situation (or mixing) it's very annoying. I will try to find a solution to this. If I find something, I will let you know.

Re: click sounds when launching or looping clips
hi there jansson,
thank you, but i seem to have stumbled on it myself.. apparantly it happens when the clip is looped with the 'complex mode' or 'complex pro mode'. don't know why actually, but i'm gonna read my manual thoroughly for this item, as the other looping modes seem less interesting for live mixing purposes as you hear the effect of it throughout the clip.
i probably come back to this.
