Djing with Live 8

Hello there !

I would like to make DJ sets using Ableton Live. I'm OK with how to do that but I have few questions... How are you doing to add new tracks (un-prepared) while you are playing ? When I'm djing with Live I separate each track in few clips (like step 1 to 16 on first clip, 16 to 32 on second etc.) so I'm able to go directly everywhere in the track... my problem is how can I save all these clips and import them all together when I want to add a new track when I'm djing.

Let me know if you have any solution...

select (ctrl-click in windows) all clips and drag them to the browser list. it will save them all as a live set. and when you want to use these clips, drag the set from the browser to the audio track, you'll have all the clips there.
one thing i hate though.. you'll have to have previously copied the name of the source file if you want to use the original name for the newly created set:) and there's no easy/fast way to do that that i know of, other than searching for the file in the browser, clicking rename, ctrl-c and then escape, and exit the search results..
