Hi,
I am currently DJing with Live and I am deciding to buy a soundcard. The specifications I need are simple, however I have no idea of any compatibility/reliable issues which is why I would like to find some recommendations.
No need for fancy effects or anything like that. Just a reliable, low latency soundcard with 2 outputs (if that) and a headphone jack is all I need.

Do you want to go with firewire( if you have a firewire input this is the best route but if your on a budget USB is fine) or USB? OR you can go with an internal card or a PCMI or whatev it's called. Im guessing you want an external card so it would be USB or firewire then.
