Crackling noise

Hi

Im getting a crackling noise through my speakers all the time.

Iv turned them off and had the sound come just out of my imac, but its still there. Monitoring CPU and its all fine, loads spare, and got at least 3gb of ram free.

What could it be? Its seriously ruining EVERYTHING!

Its not the buffer size either, as i have messed with it a lot.

And its not the audio clipping either.

What are you using? A leptop? A PC with Windows? Check your buffer size. try making it larger and if that eliminates the crackling play on.

Sounds like you might need a ground loop eliminator. About $18 usd from Radio Shack.
