Beat Mapping?

Alex Machacek discusses "beat mapping" in LogicPro.

Is there an equivalent operation in Live? If so, what is it? How do I do it?

this is a subject that i have been ranting on about for a while now.
i think it was last week some forum people introduced me to lives beat mapping.
and i have to say.
it sucks.
this is how you do it:
record a track (audio only another reason why it sucks) now make sure the track is set to master.
proceed to add warp markers like you are warping it.
the problem with this is that some times it DOES warp the audio.
another problem is it really is horrible to use with something that has multiple time signature changes.

you should be able to just grab the grid and line it up to the transients.
i find lives method only use full for pre made tracks.

come on ableton!
do something like cubases time warp!

if i had the money i think i would buy logic and a new mac.
i want to use this badly!
