I want to establish a folder of often used clips. ie shakers, bongo riffs, rides, and crashes etc. I created a new folder in the left-side browser area. But, the clips I drag over wont stay. I see an info screen pop up but it is too quick to read what it is displaying. Then my clip is gone. I looked thru the manual and it simply states to drag them over. But it just doesn't seem to work for me. Does anyone have a way they do it?
Thanks.
Sound clip Favorites Folder.
Re: Sound clip Favorites Folder.
at my opinion the best way is to name the clips you want to archive in a plain way like "brokenbeat_drumloop_120bpm" or so, then convert it to audio (freeze/fix as audio). then set the correct loop and crop it. now you can find the cropped samples in the project folder (in samples folder). with this technique i've made a nice libraray of own loops and sounds from unfinished tracks.
to have access to the folder w/o too many mouse-clicks, set this folder as bookmark in abes browser. really handy and helpful to organize/manage various samplelocations, i use this often.
this is only for audioloops you can use as clips, but i hope it helps a few....

Thanks for your reply. I have been renaming the clips with a FAV added to them . Then I search for the FAV and I can see all the favorite clips . But, How do I set a Bookmark for a folder ??

Re: Sound clip Favorites Folder.
First create a folder on your hard drive (name it "Favorites" for example). Then, under your file browser in Live you will see a very light gray bar on top of it. Once you click it, a pull down menu will appear. Navigate to "Workspace" (PC) or "All Volumes" (Mac).
Next, in Live's browser navigate to the folder you saved by double clicking through the folders. Once you have your favorites folder selected, go back to the same light gray pull down menu up top and select "Bookmark Current Folder".
Hope this helps!
