Bypass Automation?

Post by fuzz » Mon Apr 19, 2010 10:27 pm

A friend of mine gave me some great tips for working with Effectrix and they said I need to know how to use bypass automation or maybe it was automation and bypass?

Can someone shed some light on this? I know what automation is but not quite clear on the bypass

I guess that your friende meant that u need to know how to automate the "device on" parameter (switches the bypassbutton on and off).

That way u can glitch certain parts of a track with effectrix.

1. Go to the channel where you have effectrix being used.

2. Click the "bypass switch (little yellow on/off button)

3. Look at the name of the track in arrangement view, and find where it says effectrix and below that device on/off

4. you will see a redish/pinkish line go across your audio or midi data (or just the track if you have not worked on anything yet)

5. Press the pencil tool next to the clock in the top middle (or press command + b for mac, ctrl + b for windows)

6. Click anywhere (where you want your automation) on the red line (you will see it create a "box" in the line, which is automation)

7. If you want 'fades' between each box uncheck the pencil (or press command + b for mac, ctrl + b for windows again) and drag each white circle to its correct place

8. you will get ALOT better at this the more you practice!

Hope I helped :P
