Hi there
I'm putting together a set that will be used on stage. I am planning to use chain selector to switch between groups of samples for specific songs. There will be two MIDI controllers, one for keys and one for drums. the keys controller is fairly easy to set up via instrument racks, chain selector, and Sampler (thanks to board members for explaining this to me a few weeks ago!).
I'm interested in using drum racks for the drum samples, as the MPC-style layout makes a lot of sense and the addition of choke, etc is a nice touch. However, I can't seem to figure out how I would use chain selector in the same way. Is it possible to route a group of, say, 9 drum samples to C0-G#0 and then switch via chain selector/scenes to a different rack with different samples in the same positions?
thanks so much for any help you can offer

Re: Drum racks and chain selector?
just drop your drumracks into an instrument rack, then use the same chain selector method to switch kits.

Re: Drum racks and chain selector?
I saw a demonstation last year that had a cute solution to this problem: Route the MIDI input to the drum rack through a Pitch MIDI effect, which you can then use to transpose the input into whatever part of the drum rack you like.
