Could low ram in ableton cause drop outs in my soundcard.

I have an emu 0202. My computer im running has 512mb ram. Ableton prior to the sound card, I was using Aiso Drivers with a low buffer setting. No problems, midi or audio.

My emu 0202 works fine as my computer sound card normally. Movies Music, and sounds.

When I run my emu 0202 in ableton with aiso, I get glitches and audio drop outs. I raised the buffer settings for play back, to no avail.

Any advice. I dont have the money for ram right now? And want to figure out if I can fix this prior to my warranty on the emu expiring.

Any info would be great.

Are you on a laptop? I looked that card up on Amazon and it has horrible reviews..
