Live8+macbookpro

Hello,

I own a MacBook bought in 2008 and i have a problem with Live 8 when i am running it on an 1920x1200 on an external screen. Live screen is really slow and sets off, and is impossible to work with it. I think it is normal due to the poor performance of my graphic card (144mb of DDR2 shared).
I am thinking about buying the new macbook pro 13" (2.4GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 4GB of 1066MHz DDR3 SDRAM, NVIDIA GeForce 320M graphics processor with 256MB of DDR3 SDRAM shared with main memory), Do you think that i will still have the same problem?

my brother has that same exact computer (the new one your looking at) as well as do I. I don't run on any other screens (although i have hooked up to an lcd hdtv before), but my brother has a 21 inch screen that he runs with ableton and there is NO lag...

not sure if its your old computer, but both our macbook pros work just fine with high resolution on external screens...
