apc20 clip launch record focus

Post by tkzic » Wed Jun 09, 2010 5:23 am

With the apc20, if you press a clip launch button (for a blank clip) on a track that is armed for recording, the focus stays on the previously selected track. It doesn't change to the new track until you press the clip launch button again to end recording.

This is different than the behavior without the apc20 where a track is selected immediately if you click on the record button in a blank clip.

Is there any way to have the focus change immediately when the clip launch button is pressed for recording?

It might not seem like a big deal, but I use the delete key to abort recording if I make a mistake and in the case described above, the delete key will delete the previously selected clip instead of the one that's selected for recording.

(note: "select on launch" is ON in preferences)

Actually after further testing, it looks like this behavior only occurs for clip launch buttons in the same scene. If you press the clip launch button for another scene, the track is selected immediately.

Hello,

It's a known issue and we are working on it. The issue is that even if "Select on Launch" in ON, the recording clip doesn't get selected, if it happens to be on the currently highlighted scene.

Kind regards,
