How do you get a Midi track to output audio?

So first off I know if you create an instrument inside of live by defualt it outputs audio. However, im trying to import midi notes and sounds through Maschines interface. everything comes over correctly but the midi tracks dont output sound. They show the notes playing but no sound output. How do I change it? for whatever reason I cant figure it out. Thanks for the help.
