recommend me some summer music
It's getting warm and wanting some mellow sounds, chill, ambient, dub, folk, geetar, electronic..wotcha got?
Re: recommend me some summer music
Well well well.... this doesn't really fit the bill of mellow, chill etc. and it's not exactly new, but I've dubbed Bukez Finezt's remix of "White Sky" by Vampire Weekend-->link<-- as my feel-good summer song of 2010.
Not sure how I feel about the original, and the rest of the actual album to be honest, but the remix is fun.

This isn't what you are looking for by your description, but it's a classic so deal with it.

"It just works" by Gaylord and the Apples.
Have it on constant rotation, I'm loving it.

Some of the newer music I've been into lately:
Gorillaz-Plastic Beach
Mike Patton-Mondo Cain
Free the Robots-Ctrl Alt Delete
Sleigh Bells-Treats
And I recently had George Michael Appreciation Month. Check out the back catalogue starting with Wham. I get funny/comments looks for this I don't give a shit. Dude had serious skills and crafted some seriously good pop music.
