recipe thread

Post by tadpole fingers » Sat Jun 12, 2010 7:35 pm

We all eat so maybe some people would like to share some nice food recipe's?

Sometimes I like to start my day off with a breakfast shake:

1 cup whole goat milk
1 banana
1 table spoon peanut butter
2 table spoon hemp protein powder
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
well blended

I drink it slowly and it makes me have full and feel good all morning.

"salad as a meal"

bag of mixed lettuce
stuff you like on top:
bell peppers, (spring) onion, beans, carrots, cucumber, sweetcorn whatever you like

then top with

roasted mushrooms if you're veggie or
grilled/panfried salmon or tuna
or crabsticks if you are poor
or meat

then 2 dressing suggestions if you don't have/can't get/don't like some ingredients, just leave them out.

"Asian"
Soy sauce
Couple drops of sesame oil
Rice vinegar
Mustard
Wasabi (careful)
pepper
grated ginger

If you're going for this dressing roasted sesame seeds and some crumbled seaweed (the kind for making sushi rolls) make it even more asian.
Coriander is also great with this.

"European"
White or rice vinegar
Olive oil (If you're dieting leave the oil out taste will be the same just not as rich a texture)
Mustard
Honey
Garlic
pepper

Lime juice also goes well in both dressings and can also be used as a substitute for vinegar and lemon juice is also good.
Keep sticking your finger in the dressing and tasting while you're adding ingredients.

on a slight tangent - a cocktail.

'red bomber'

1/3 pint vodka
1/3 pint red wine
1/3 pint red bull

just do it

step one, locate multiple instantly edible food supplies withing sight (belonging to either your or anybody who is not near by)

step two, grab one item of food stuffs and take a generous handful and instantly insert into your mouth

step three, while chewing, replace container of said foods stuffs and before swallowing have the other container('s) opened and repeat step two until satisfied just enough that a big pull from a jug of milk will leave you satisfied enough to continue working on music.
