Tap Tempo: Wait 4 beats to set new tempo?

I've noticed that if I have a drum beat going, and I want to adjust the tempo by tapping, the beat sometimes goes crazy if I hit the tempo tap button once or twice. Is there a way to make the Live wait until I tap in four beats, picking up the new tempo from that? It seems unreasonable for Live to react to one or two taps on the tempo tap button.
