This is a follow up on this issue from http://forum.ableton.com/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=133754, issue# 6357.
The bug from this thread has been fixed. Thanks for that, but it seems the fix has introduced a new one.
I'm trying to change I/O values through the BCR2000 in mackie mode, but I suspect this issue goes for any midi control with regards to changing I/O.
Specifically, when I try to change the midi input options, there is quirky behavior that was not present in Live 8.1.1:
It is now NOT possible to use the midi controller to change the value of the midi input options, from both device- and channel dropdowns.
Only after the mouse is used to select a non-default value first, can midi control take over again.
This seems to happen for midi input boxes only. Midi Outs as well as Audio Ins and Outs are working just fine.
You'd want to be able to use midi control exclusively in order to change the midi input device and channel.
If you have to use the mouse first, then the usefulness of this midi control functionality gets lost somewhat.
Since this is my second post about this, you can gather that I use it quite a bit
Also, usually, the values of the I/O dropdowns are sent to midi out so they can be displayed (in huskervu).
That does not happen as long as midi has no control over the values.
Usually you would see 'Allchn' for 'All Channels', but now 'Ext:Al' displayed, which is actually a value for an audio track, not a midi track. The value of the midi channel does stay blank as reported in the previously mentioned thread.
Okay, I hope this too gets fixed.
Much appreciated,
Alex
