i know this has been brought up before, but i CONSISTANTLY get mad drops outs and crap in my audio once the cpu meter hits 35%-36%.

this sucks.

any remedies? ableton wont get back 2 me...

That makes me think something else is going on. I can consistently crank Live into the 85% range on the CPU meter (though I usually try to keep it under 70%). Have you tried viewing other processes from Terminal to see if that's the culprit? What's your setup?

I did experience really horrible dropouts when I tried running off an external FireWire drive that was daisy-chained through my 828. Uh, guess I wasn't supposed to do that? (Anyone?) I wish these PowerBook G4s would ship with two FireWire buses. :x

Haven't tried Jaguar yet . . . I was running 10.1.
