Does anybody have this problem >>> When you press stop / start over a section of audio it clicks/pops ?
I know the Fade button on ableton 7 was there so when you are chopping up Audio and putting clips back together, the edits/clips are smooth. But i also noticed that when i highlighted FADE on an audio part the clicks/pops when stopping and starting, went away.
I don't mean, starting on bar 1 (at the beginning of the clip) or stopping at the end of the clip. i mean, to start/stop anywhere but the beginning or end of the clip. So like you'll be playing the drum loop or whatever then you press stop before the loop finishes. Doing that would sometimes cause a click.
I tried a copy of Reaper a few months back (b/c it was free) and they had this *Tiny Fade in/out*
option so that when you pressed stop as the track is playing it stopped smoothly. Almost like you pressed pause on a CD player.
Now when i cut a loop, i cut it perfect, i zoom in real close and can hear when it's right. So i'm not that much in need of the FADE for smoothing bad edits. It's purely a stop/start thing
Does anybody know what i'm talking about ?
