How do I change pitch of a sample but not the time?

Post by MaskeL » Wed Aug 04, 2010 11:57 pm

Having trouble figuring it out. I want to change the pitch of a sample but not have it slow down or speed up. There must be an easy way that I'm just not seeing.

Thanks everyone.

I have it warped and dropped into Sampler. When I play it out across my trigger finger it is pitched differently but slows down or speeds up with pitch change.

Warp the same sample a bunch of different ways, then put them in separate zones in the sampler.

You can try frequency shifter to change the pitch, I'm pretty sure it doesn't change time. Doesn't sound anything like transposition though and it's in Hz not semitones.

Ahh figured it out I think. Rather than warp multiple samples and spread them out in the Zone. I just duplicated a bunch of the same sample and transposed it in clip view. Then spread them out in the Zone.

Cool thanks everyone!
