Hi Everybody. I just got myself a Novation Nocturn and am using it to control my Ableton Live Analog synth with. I can only do this using the MIDI functionality, which is ok as the mapping is very intuitive.
However, I have a problem getting values back to their default position (such as center position on a pan pot). I usually just click on the parameter in question with my mouse and hit the 'delete' button on my keyboard.
In order to mirror that action on my Nocturn, I wanted to dedicate a button to toggle between 0%-100%-200% (100% being the default value). However, by playing with the 'min' and 'max' values and the 'step' value I only managed to hit either 99% or 101%, which resulted in me toggling 0%-99%-200% or 0%-101%-200%.
How do I hit 100% using the 'min', 'max' and 'step' values?
Or: Is there a better way to solve the problem with getting back to the default values with a controller?
Help is greatly appreciated, since I'm really new to the whole MIDI controller thing...
Can Novation Nocturn return value to default via Midi???

Hi Everybody,
I just figured it out myself.
1. Set the parameters in the control map to 'max'=127 'min'=0 and 'step'=63
2. Go into the list that appears in the midi channel browser that appears when you turn on midi learn in live. Then adjust the 'min' value of the parameter to -99% (or -0.99 for values between -1.00 and 1.00)
All the best, Peter.
