problems bussing into protools

Post by technova » Thu Aug 19, 2010 11:13 pm

ok
i use a combination of multiple stereo stems from ableton , rewired into PT
but after about the 4th stereo stem , i start getting glitchs, pops, etc, like something is overworked already , its apretty basic set up ,no plugs even just 4 stereo aux channels in PT with a rewire plug on each, and a similar set up in LIVE bussed to the above... surely i should get a few more than this? any one using a similar set up , or knows anyone in LA that could help in realtime... all input gratefully received

set up
apple 10.6.4
3.32 GHz Quad-core intel xeon
8 GB 1066 MHz DDR3
PTHD v 8.04 512 samples/3 processors/85%/96 voices(3DSPs)
long/level2/large

ableton LIVE 8.1.5
What we think, we become.

G'day Mr Harrow! Nice to see you haunting these boards again...

Yes, absolutely. Mac and Logic here, so I can't compare directly, but I've never run into a top limit of rewire streams between the two apps. I think the most I've done simultaneously is 10 stereo streams.
