If I route in Live a MIDI track to any Reason instrument, I can play the instrument. So far so good. After inserting a MIDI Plug-in, e.g. Chord or Scale, the instrument will also be played - but the MIDI plug-in is not hearable (but the in/out meter of the plug-in shows an signal).
A bug? Any ideas?

Thomas

maybe route it through another midi track?
not sure if this would work (no live at work), but it might be the needed workaround.
load your midi effect onto 1 Midi and set it's "Midi To" to 2-Midi. Then route the 2 Midi track to reason/maelstrom.
I am not sure if you need to monitor both midi channels, or just 1 Midi.
A lot of times when I am trying something more complicated that live wants to do I am able to forward through an empty track to pull it off.
