Drop Outs with Ultralite

Post by mattstan » Tue Aug 24, 2010 5:45 am

Hey Everyone,

I have been having a problem most recently with sessions that contain about 45-60 tracks. Majority of these tracks will be audio tracks, with some effects such as Eq, Comp, Delay, etc. An most times I may have 1 or 2 midi tracks. I usually try to keep them to a minimum due to the fact they use more CPU load. However, my problem seems to lie every time I use ableton running through my motu ultralite via firewire the CPU load at certain points in the session will go over 60% and cause all the audio stop being audible. I can see the signals on the screen, however no audio. So I will power off, then on again the motu ultralite. Reselect it as my audio driver, and wha la! The sound works again! Do you think this is mostly a problem with my I/O ( ultralite ) ? Any thoughts questions or comments would be appreciated!

Regards,

Matt
