Using ReWire with slaves OTHER THAN Reason...

I've been trying to use "Ugly VSTi Host" (Mac), to route soft synths into Live. Great theory, as it offers 'ReWire' as an output choice.
Works fine when I use ASIO or Sound Manager outputs from 'Ugly', but I don't get any choice of 'ReWire' inputs in Live other than 'Reason' (I have Reason v1 on my machine).

I have tried using this option, but no joy.

Anyone tried something similar (ie. ReWiring something like Max/MSP) ?
