The eMac has an audio input. So you could plug in your mixer to that and use that as an input in Live.
You may run into line noise or latency issues with the built-in audio adapter; you might not. I don't recall anyone else here posting their experiences with an eMac.
If your results are acceptable to your ears, then you can probably get away without buying a USB or Firewire audio adapter.
If the sound and latency are not acceptable, and/or you want features like effects or sample pre-monitoring, then you will need an external sound adapter with two or more stereo sound outputs (watch out for boxes with mono outputs -- you'll need two mono outputs per stereo output) and at least one stereo input for your mixer, or more, depending on what you're plugging in.
There have been threads on this list about different USB and Firewire adapters -- check them out for more info.
A few that come to mind are the Midiman Quattro/Omni pair (USB) and the MOTU 828 (Firewire). I use an Event1 Ezbus (USB), which has only one stereo audio in/out but also acts as a digital mixer and provides access to two MIDI in/outs via the same USB connection.
