Yes, but why wouldn't you try out a demo version for yourself to see?

Microtonic is absolute fun. and the patternarium quickly shows you of what it's capable of.

Consider to buy the bundle ( microtonic + synplant ) of you're looking for a crazy fun synth as well.

as was stated before in this topic : the best vst purchase I made.
Xone:4D, Arturia Analog experience, Launchpad, EAW monitors, Ableton suite 8, Omnisphere + Stylus RMX Expanded, microtonic, synplant, Sylenth1, Artillery

I'm using it (and other vsts) to drum into from a simple Roland V-drum kit. It's great fun, and I discovered that Microtonic supports re-mapping.

There is also the possibility of programming bass sounds into it.

yeah, synplant is another great synth. nice interface for coming up with some pretty novel sounds. quite nice aswell how the interface allows you to change the tweak the sounds on each note leading to some interesting patterns

I played with Microtonic demo for about 10 minutes and knew it was something special.

I really dig the familiar step seqencer as I am a Reason user and love their Redrum way of beat creation.

I believe the creator of Microtonic Magnus Lidström used to work for Reason and also created the Malstron Synth if I recall correctly.

Sonic Charge is by far the best plugin company IMO. I've had endless rants on this forum about how badass Synplant is. My go to weapon. MicroTonic is just as sweet. Both instruments have this unique sound that stands out from other plugins. Probably the BEST plugin purchase you'll ever make 8)
