inspired by Kong (Reason 5) and Drumaxx VST i´ve been digging deeper into collision and physical modelling drum synthesis in Live for the last two days.
Collision is awesome, the possibilities seem to be endless but besides the few lines about the basics in the Live manual and a small number of youtube videos it appears to be relatively uncovered when it comes to greater detail (like almost all of the physical modelling synths out there). I manage to synthesize all kinds of base drums with different settings but i am not able to create a decent sounding analogue snare drum like i do with ease with KONG or Drumaxx. Therefore i´d be happy if you help me or might share some knowledge.
What interests me is the kind of resonator you use for a snare? The membran or the pipe? Anyway, do you use the second one?
Furthermore, do you use one instance of Collision for a snare or do you combine two or more in a drum rack to get a good result?
Whate else?

Any help highly appreciated. Thank you very much!
