How do you control the time signature

Post by enphydolphographist » Wed Sep 15, 2010 5:52 pm

I am a newbie in live and all i have is a very basic question.
I recorded a song and put it into live. The next step i want to do is adding drum racks and all that kind of stuff that i already know how to work with. However, before i do so, i need to have the right time signature.

Somehow i can't use the bpm channel to switch it and also there is nowhere the number of what the bpm was when i put the audiofile in. It says 120 which is the setting.

How do i set all that up. I just kept messing around with warping and all sorts of things but cant get to a result. Before studying the whole ableton book i thought it would be good to throw that question here around.

Please help

in arrangement you right click on the top bar, it will say "add time signature marker" or similar. you can set the sig to change all over the place this way. Markers can be dragged.

You can also set each clip to have a different sig, if you like. The box is marked "signature" in the lower left of the screen (in the "clip" box)
