let us send midi to audio tracks through M4L

I'd like to be able to create tools that use midi to manipulate another track's audio.

for example make a simple gater that can be played live. it receives Midi and does something to the audio of the track it lives in.

The forum's consensus seems to be that this isn't possible right now, so I'd like to ask to implement this possibility.

Do you have Reason 4 or above? With Thor you can turn CV signals into Audio...which you can use for sidechaining your Gate. Tried it, works like a charm. Using Malstroms mod-waveforms as sidechainsignals is fun.
You could automate Reason from Live and create some Arpeggio-(RPG8)patterns which then go into your sidechain via ReWire.

Or you could also simply reroute your midi signals to automate the mutes of your tracks that you want to gate...

I don't have Reason, and think that the omission of being able to send Midi to audio tracks through M4L is something obviously neglected for a v2 release, so I felt it's time to start begging..

Although, this is an old post, maybe they've already made this possible, but I'm not seing it yet.
