MIDI control of Augustus Loop with FCB1010?

Any advice how to do this?

I install an instance of AugLoop in a Return Track. The AugLoop controller number for Tap Record is 92. I have Controller 1 and 2 on the FCB1010 set to 92 and MIDI channel 1 and have tried all permutations of on/off and values 00 and 127 and none activate Tap Record.

I seem to be missing some crucial information.

Although this is not at all obvious from any of the manuals:

Create a dummy clip in a MIDI track, arm RECORD, and route the output to the audio or return track with AugLoop.

On the FCB1010, assign the relevant controller number (in AugLoop this is 92 for Tap Record) to both CNT1 and CNT2, one with value 0 and the other with value 127.
