Get rid of "Verified by Visa"

I just tried to order Live about 30 times with 3 different cards, and they all errored. This service is known for actually being vulnerable to phishing. It complicates the ordering process and is extremely frustrating. We are given no warning that we are signing up for it and no option to decline. People without a social security number are not allowed to make purchases. And, in fact, if you do a google search for "'verified by visa' bullshit" you will be presented with dozens of articles about its problematic nature and especially its tendency to just plainly not work. My request is that If Visa or a particular bank is choosing this online store to participate against its will, please ask them to remove this mandatory service from your shop, and apply pressure. This is the type of thing that makes people want to pirate the software. In all of the time I wasted unsuccessfully attempting to pay Ableton hundreds of dollars for its product, I could have downloaded a pirated copy.

So what did you end up doing. I can't believe nobody has commented on your post in five years. You have a great point. Verified by visa is bull, and needs to be ditched.
