ok man I'm sitting here staring at these midi plugins that come with Live 4.
ok. the scale thingy is neat once you have a pattern. the chord thingy is nice as well because I can be a dolt at periodic intervals on my synth. ok and the others are nice and have usages. ok but where is the arpeggiator I need for battery 2? I don't want to use the looping thingy on the module because it's kinda irritating if not cpu hungry with my current configuration (I have tons of XP services running in the back that if I try to retweak any of them my system barfs on me) and besides I don't like that approach. I need something like the matrix from reason, if just for a pattern producer usage. anyone know of any user groups or sites that has a midi arp plug in or vst plug in for midi? I tried researching google, download.com, and a couple of other places but they only have standalone pattern maker midi arpers. ok let me know peeps.
I may be a twit but

I found peace and possibility, and they were there, at the exhumation of inspiration

Ableton have said they are working on an Arp, I think they have to get some issues with midi fixed first.
Currently, due the fact that plugins can't pass midi info in Live, there is no way to do a real arp via a vst plugin unless the instrument has an arp, or you load another host inside Live (like XT).
BUT there IS a way to do a fakey one finger arp, very similar to the Matrix trick.
If you put some notes in a midi clip, then map them to your keyboard, you can play the pattern up and down the keyboard.
Not really an arp, but it's a start, and don't forget you can have a gajillion envelopes inside that clip as well.

GO VEGAN!!! - Macbook Air, Bass Station II, Some Korg shit, Live Suite, U-He, Audio Damage, Microtonic, Ohmicide, more soft stuffs, awesome controllers, euro rack modular synth,an awesome cat.
Yeah major musicians never use lazy tools like arps, step sequencers, fx, lfo's, or samples.
They roll all that shit by hand!
Otherwise people would know they are lazy and they would never be popular!
