Here's a tip for Live users interested in running Live on 2 Macs. I've been doing this for some time and have found a GREAT solution for synchronizing my loops (with .asd files), samples, plugins, & sessions between the two computers (a G4 Powerbook and a G5 tower).
The solution is a software product called "Folder Synchronizer X". It will allow you to set up a single file that can control synchronization between any directories on any hard drives. I have my main "Live Sync" file keeping tabs on my "sounds folder" as well as directories containing plug-ins and Live sessions. To run it, I simply boot my Powerbook in 'target mode' and mount as a hard drive on my G5 then run the "Live Sync" file. Within a few seconds, all the work that I've done with one computer is synced to the second and visa versa.
This system allows me to compose a song in Live on my Powerbook (including adding new samples to the library, tweeking .asd files, adding new plugins to the library, saving new effect and synth presets, etc) and after syncing, have that session running on my G5.
"Folder Synchronizer X" is also a great general back-up utility and will also back up an entire Mac OSX drive (including the ability to boot from the new back-up!).
Check it out. It's WELL worth the $$;

BTW, I don't work for Softobe and will not benefit from sales of their software.
