Synth sounds low pitched (transposed) after export
hello guys, I have a problem, and can't think of any more solution..
I'm ready to export my finished track. there are 2 parts where the synth in question plays. the 2 parts are exactly the same, I even copy pasted from the 1 part where it sounds perfectly correct.
when I listen to the track from the beginning it plays wrong the 2nd part. then I click stop and just play it again, then it's correct. when I export it's wrong again. the 1st part is always right.
I tried everything from 16, 24 to 32 bit, sample rates 44100.. 48000, 96000...
can't think of any solution, anybody had the same issue?
plz help !!

Re: Synth sounds low pitched (transposed) after export
What is the synth? Is the patch on the synth normally transposed up?

yes, everything is normal, the only automation is on the gate release, but anyways the first time the synth appears always plays correctly. and when I copied it, it also did copy all the automations etc as you know. so there's strictly no reason why it would play on a different pitch note...

What synth is it? Are there any parameters in the specific patch that would be effecting the pitch?

it's a synth from nexus 2, "just too fat" no pitch changes from nexus for that, even dunno if it's possible.

Hi, please try this - export a version of this track with a default (or very simple) patch in Nexus 2. Let me know if you get the same results.
Also, when you copied from the first track of Nexus 2 to the second, did you copy automation with it?

Re: Synth sounds low pitched (transposed) after export
Hello,
I have had the same problem with other vsts including native ableton devices. It only seems to happen when I have automated pitch changes with MIDI controller. I noticed that if it is playing out of tune you can go into the device, change the number of voices to something else and then back to what it was. This will usually reset it back so it plays right again but will still randomly define on export. What I have done to fix this is to set up a new audio track, change the in option to your synth and then record the MIDI to audio. Then it will never change. One my track with this problem I had a few different clips so I just recorded them seperatly with the punch in punch out record option.
Peace
