I have gotten the same error several times when installing the Live 8.2.1 Suite (incl sounds) update, and also when installing the Minus Artists live pack.
The error popped up for the following live packs:
Amp
Live 7 Legacy
Live 8 Library
Minus Artists (not as part of update)
Error is as follows:
"Installation of Live Pack 'Live 8 Library' failed (database disk image is malformed). Would you like to continue installing the rest of the live packs?"
Tried deleting the 8.2.1 folder from my Applications folder when installation finished, then re-downloading the update and re-installing.
No live packs installation occurred the 2nd time (or 3rd time)
OS X 10.5.8
Updating from 8.1.1
