Dropout when midi note starts

Hi board...

I just got a brand new Macbook Pro I7 and updated to the latest Ableton Suite version. Lets say in a project I have all audio clips and then a midi note triggers - as the song is playing (in arrangement view), once it gets to the part where the midi note is played, the sound drops out for a split second and then continues to play. This never happened on the previous Ableton version with my old Macbook Pro (Pre-Unibody, Santa Rosa chip)... My new I7 is doing it.. both have 4 gigs ram... The synth its triggering is Sylenth. What could be the issue? My soundcard is a MOTU 828MKII and its does it even when I move the buffer all the way to the right.

I'm seeing this also, very annoying! Using 8.2.1 on Mac 10.6.4.
