I use a sony vaio laptop with Windows xp home edition and a Oxygen 8 keyboard from Midiman.
Everytime I start my laptop or plug in the keyboard, it wants to install the drivers. Is there a way to install your drivers just once without having to do it every time I want to use my laptop together with my keyboard?
ciao,

Laptop + USB keyboard problems
check my website!
hi,
i'm experiencing the same problem with my laptop and the usb soundcard, controller and midi interface.
i have contacted the manufacturer (m-audio) and the technician told me it was due to IRQ conflicts in the configuration of my laptop.
the problem is not easy to solve, there is a lot of literature on this sense in the internet....
at this moment i have temporary solved the problem copying the drivers installation files on the pc. when i have a gig i have sometimes to reinstall the drivers...
i have heard that i can assign the IRQs manually in the bios, but i'm not good enough to do this alone without risk....
if you find the way to do this could you be so kind to pm me?
thx and good luck
