unrecognized audio bugs in L8

Post by 3phase » Mon Nov 08, 2010 10:27 pm

as shown in the past its a bit hard to point ableton towards bugs.. what makes some of them stay in the program for quite a while..

a phenomen i constantly experiance in the newer L8 versions..

screen reality and soundutput have an extrem lag.. around half a bar..

mentioned a few times in the forum and i also reported thos month ago in the bug forum..

maybe its good to collekt such things..seem that the extrem offset bug is for ableton stil in the user eror department.

anybody else experiancing it?

Thats been there forever - its really annoying and results from the combined latency of your plugins.

For me its most noticeable when I load up the UAD mastering plugins on the master track - if I need to go back and tweak the mix and see an exact point, I just group the plugins, save them as a rack for easy reloading and delete them from the master track. Disabling them isnt enough.

Anyway +1 for a please fix this - cant be that hard to add latency comp to the position indicators relative to your master track (yeh - I know it would be a pain to deal with other audio outputs, but master track will cover 90% of use cases).

technically its probably an annoying lack of feature rather than a bug :p
Nothing to see here - move along!

There is a grain delay and a panner in the return A and a limiter in the sum..thats it..
I a mpretty sure that it will worl when i mange to reboot my computer.. at least taht was solving it lately..but its a new phenomen for me.. happens often... dont know why yet.. sleestates of the laptop? wasnt really sleeping but ideling for hours inbetween..interface changes..

but that should be reseted when reselecting the interface.. but no.

Same here: ... and I have problems when I try to load an uad plugin in the master bus, for example, Precision Limiter. The plug introduces a latency in the master bus that is not properly compensated. As a result of this, I need to lower the latency buffer in the Asio Configuration, hearing some glitches due to workload to monitor properly my synths.
