Looking at kitting myself out with some quality speakers to get a decent sound going. Anyone got any suggestions, really don't know what i should be looking to get. Been searching various setups and it seems you can get very complicated. Just out of interest why would you need all this gear - focus rite saffire soundcard, m-patch 2 volume controller and 4 KRK Speakers, 2 rokit 8's and 2 VXT 8's not saying im going anywhere near something as fancy but whats the deal with that amount of gear?
currently confused
cheers

Re: Sound Systems
the size of the room that the monitors will be in is an important consideration.
i was gonna get some KRK Rokit8's but they are too powerful for my average size room (approx. 3m x 4m). I opted for the KRK Rokit6's, and also got the KRK subwoofer. The subwoofer makes my whole flat sound like a nightclub, which is great advantage when making dance music... (it's lucky my neighbour is deaf!).
