I'm thinking about setting up a programing/mixing studio in London and want to gauge potential interest.
The room would contain lots of desirable synths drum machines and outboard including the following:
Instruments:
EMS VCS3
Roland Jupiter 6
Prophet 600
Nordwave
Roland SH-101
KORG MS20 with analogue sequencer
MC-202
TR-808
TR-909
TR-606
Jomox x-base09
Ouboard:
Roland Space Echo
EL8 Distressor
Neave style Pre amps
Drawmer compressor
TLA tube EQ
Spring reverbs
A bunch of other stuff...
Dynaudio BM6 monitors
NS10's
RME Fireface converters
Some microphones and other toys.
The idea is to have all this stuff hooked up via midi and bantam patchbays so all you need to do is walk in with your computer and you can run all your programing out to the synths/drum machines, tweak mix and record, and take it back home to work on again.
First time users would get some trainging on how to use the equipment (if they want it)
The studio would be rented in 12 hour blocks with the hope to have regular clients who, for example, book every thursday from 7pm to 7am for an attractive discount on the one off rental price.
Would this be something any of you Londoners be interested in?
How much would you be prepared to pay for such a studio?
